All the drills will be conducted from a concealed carry holster on an outdoor range. This course is designed to challenge students to work from concealed positions with the gear and equipment they would normally have in everyday situations.

The class will have a strong emphasis on shooting accurately while still building speed. Lectures and drills will involve an in-depth look at marksmanship fundamentals and their proper application.

This is an intermediate level course. A student wishing to attend should have a strong understanding of firearms safety. Gunfighter Pistol

  • Holster
  • 3 magazines
  • Magazine pouch
  • Eye and Ear protection
  • Range appropriate attire
  • 800 rounds of ammunition.

Low Light Pistol

Nearly 2/3 of the day has some sort of diminished light environment, including normal daylight hours.  This course is designed to prepare students for lethal force encounters during those times and will give them the skill set to handle these situations with higher success.  Students will gain a better understanding of how the human eye works in low-level light situations.  Topics will cover handheld flashlights, weapons mounted lights, and incandescent models vs. LED models of lights.  The proper manipulation of handheld lights in conjunction with their firearms will be covered. Students will consider the use of barricades and low-level light situations, legal issues, and other safety concerns.

Note:  Students should have a solid working knowledge of their handgun.

Equipment required:

  • Students will need a semi automatic pistol or revolver
  • 3 magazines or speed loaders
  • Holster
  • Mag pouches
  • Handheld flashlight
  • Weapons mounted optional
  • Eye and ear protection
  • 300 rounds of ammunition.

Combat Revolver

This course covers the unique aspect of the revolver and revolver shooting techniques. It is a course designed for beginners but also an excellent way to review past pistol training techniques and tactics. Students will receive instruction on safety, equipment selection and set up, marksmanship fundamentals, reloads and shooting from positions of disadvantage.

While many armed citizens carry a lightweight revolver for defensive purposes, they are not recommended for this class. Students will be shooting a higher volume of rounds, making a lightweight revolver extremely uncomfortable for this type of training. While a full size 4" barreled service revolver is not required, a standard weight, steel frame revolver is highly recommended.
