Course Overview

Elevate your defensive skill set with our Low Light & Barricades Shooting Course. In this intensive 6-hour session, you’ll learn proven techniques for operating your handgun—and red-dot equipped pistols—in low-light environments, plus how to leverage barricades and cover to maximize safety and accuracy during dynamic encounters.

What You’ll Learn

  • Low-Light Fundamentals: Understand human vision limitations, use high/low flashlight techniques, and transition between light and dark zones.

  • Flashlight & Weapon Manipulation: Practice pistol-mounted and handheld flashlight methods for one-handed shooting while maintaining a proper grip and support.

  • Target Identification & Engagement: Train on threat-versus-non-threat discrimination using reduced-visibility targets and multiple threat drills.

  • Barricade Shooting Drills: Learn how to position behind barriers, conduct positional shooting (standing, kneeling, seated), and perform reloads and malfunction clears safely from cover.

  • Tactical Movement: Execute controlled movements between light sources and barricades, maintaining muzzle discipline and minimizing exposure.

  • Safety & Judgment: Develop decision-making skills under stress, including threat assessment and knowing when to employ low-light tactics.
