Take the final step to complete your concealed carry certification by joining our comprehensive range proficiency course in either Akron or Medina. This essential part of your training ensures you meet state requirements and are fully prepared for the responsibilities of carrying a concealed firearm.

Classroom Session: Safety Fundamentals Review

Begin your proficiency test with a brief but crucial classroom session where we will review key safety fundamentals. This refresher will cover essential safety protocols and prepare you for the state-required course of fire, ensuring you are ready to demonstrate your skills on the range.

Range Testing: Demonstrate Your Skills

After the classroom review, you will proceed to the range to complete the state-required course of fire. This practical test will assess your ability to safely and accurately handle your firearm. Successful completion of the test is mandatory for certification.

Certification: Achieve Your Concealed Carry Certification

Upon satisfactory completion of the range test, you will be issued a Certificate of Completion. This certificate, along with your online training certificate, will be required by the county where you apply for your concealed carry permit. Ensure you have both documents ready as part of your application process.

Materials Needed for Your Proficiency Test

Prepare for your final proficiency test by bringing the following materials:

1. Ammunition: Bring a minimum of 100 rounds of ammunition. The actual amount needed may vary based on your firearm’s caliber and the specific location.

2. Firearm: Ensure your firearm is unloaded and cased. You can bring your own or use one of our rentals. Please note, no firearms or ammunition are allowed in the classroom.

3. Certificate of Completion: Bring your Certificate of Completion from your online training.

4. Protection Gear: Eye and ear protection are mandatory. You can bring your own or purchase them in our store.

5. Qualification Targets: Provided at the range.

6. Range Maintenance Fee: This one-time annual charge is required for range use.

Class Logistics: Important Details

•Class Size: Our classes are limited to the first 10 students to ensure a quality learning experience.

•Minimum Requirement: A minimum of 5 students is required for the class to be held.

•Age Restrictions: Participants under the age of 21 must have a parent or legal guardian present throughout the entire class. The guardian must sign our Liability Waiver on behalf of the underage participant and remain in the shooting lane during the range portion.

All range rules must be strictly followed to ensure the safety of all participants. Familiarize yourself with our range rules before attending the class to ensure a smooth and safe experience for everyone.

Please note that Workman Training Group maintains a strict NO REFUNDS policy. However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and we are happy to accommodate rescheduling requests.

Rescheduling Your Class

If you are unable to attend your scheduled class, we will gladly reschedule it for you. We kindly request that you cancel at least 48 hours before your class start time. In the event of a cancellation, we offer one reschedule opportunity per participant. NO REFUNDS

Workman Training Group reserves the right to cancel any class due to low enrollment, inclement weather, or any other unforeseen circumstances. If a class is cancelled, students will be notified via email, and options for rescheduling or obtaining a refund will be provided.
